Are you a curious, motivated rising high school senior with an interest in science, nature, or biology? Join the Dweck Lab at the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station (CAES) for a hands-on summer internship in chemical ecology and behavior of insects!
In our lab, you’ll explore how insects use their sense of smell to find food, mates, and habitats. You’ll gain experience in:
– Insect behavior
– Volatile collection methods
– Chemical analysis
– Electrophysiolgy
– Molecular genetics
– CRISPR/Cas9 gene-editing technology
No prior lab experience needed—just a passion for discovery and a willingness to learn!
📍 Location: New Haven, CT
📅 Duration: 6–8 weeks during summer break
👩🔬 Open to: Rising high school seniors
